Got a trials bike sitting in the back of the shed?? An old TY Yammy or a TL Honda, or an old Fantic or SWM hidden somewhere? Well, it’s now time to get it out the shed, throw it and the swag on the back of the ute or trailer and head to Mungeree for Trials SA’s undisputed ‘Event of the Year’, the 2018 Woolshed Trial, round 4 of the 2018 TROY Series SA!
Not only will you get to ride one of the best trials venues in the world – yeh, no exaggeration here – you also get the Saturday practise/coaching day, the brilliant woolshed dinner on the Saturday night – and in 2018 – you will also get to experience a World Trial Championship style ‘qualification’ event – where the goal is to get through the section with your feet up, and in the fastest possible time!
SA’s Trial2 WTC competitor, Connor Hogan, is setting up a special section in front of the Mungeree Homestead just for this added extra, which will take place from 3.00pm on Saturday arvo – after the practise/coaching day, and to work up an appetite, before the woolshed dinner!
There will be prizes on offer, which will include goodies from GRO Oils & Jitsie, with riders able to enter up a grade, but not drop down to an easier line! (Check out the attached flyer for more details!
Another reason to head to Mungeree – not only will you see Connor Hogan, Australia’s only WTC competitor in action, along with his WTC Minder, current Australian Youth Champion, Haydon Ahrens in action, you will also see some of Australia’s finest junior trials riders go head to head with their senior counterparts!
2018 MSA Elite Riders, Alex Cowan & Lillie Yiatrou, 2017/18 Australian Champion Haydon Barwick, Rising Stars Josh Rees, Cameron Gerhardy, Hayden Eardley and Patrick Hewitt will all be riding in senior classes, plus there will be a host of other junior riders from 4 years of age and up in action as well!
There is also 2 old bike classes, Historic Blue & White, named for the line you can ride – the harder blue or the easier white, in case you don’t want to scratch your pride & joy, or yourself!
Entries close in 1 weeks’ time, Wednesday the 8th of August – late entries may be taken, but riders will then miss inclusion in the event program produced by the Trials SA crew – and sup regs, entries & dinner bookings, as well as contact details for Mungeree are all available online at Trialsport’s awesome online system - www.trialsport.com.au/entries
