As the 2024 SA Trial season reaches its thrilling finale, the Juventus MCC is excited to bring the Rockhopping SA – GASGAS 2024 SA Trial Championship to Mt Pleasant on September 14th and 15th. This highly anticipated event will showcase South Australia’s top trial riders alongside leading competitors from across Australia, all vying for the prestigious 2024 SA Championships.
The weekend promises an exhilarating display of trial riding talent. With 20 senior riders and 19 juniors set to compete across the two days, expect intense action and fierce competition. In addition to these competitive classes, a range of non-competitive riders will also participate, highlighting the diverse skill range of South Australia’s top trialists.
The excitement ramps up with NSW’s multiple Australian Champion and Australian representative, Colin Zarczynski, competing in Trial 1, while Aaron Long and Grant Stephen will go head-to-head in Trial 2. Over the two action-packed days, 17 junior trial stars will showcase their skills across Junior A, B Open, and Trial 1-3 classes. Don’t miss the chance to see rising talents like Cooper Harry, Eve Bentley, and Haydon Barwick in action, alongside 2023 winners Kody Irrgang (Trial 4), Lucinda Cowan (Junior Women), Isaac Schultz (Junior A), and Cadance Long (Junior B Women), all aiming to make their mark at Mt Pleasant.
With so much on the line and a diverse lineup of riders, the Rockhopping SA – GASGAS SA 2024 Trial Championship is set to deliver an unforgettable weekend of trial riding.
Adrian Harry, a long-time supporter of the Rockhopping SA – GASGAS SA Trial Championship and Juventus MCC member, shared his enthusiasm for the event:
“Yeah, it’s awesome to host the 2-day 2024 SA Championship. On a good note, our state is strong, with Australia’s best in male and female classes. However, date clashes mean they are overseas competing in the Trials des Nations, leaving the Championship open for the taking. We have expert rider and ex-Aussie champ Colin Zarczynski from NSW, who will be expected to lead the way. We also have a strong field of juniors in SA who will be right there with him, watching every move.
Biased opinion alert: we have the most varied property in the state, with sections including logs, big and small, arena-style sections over cable reels and concrete pipes, and a sandpit-type section with no rock steps where the top 3 classes will tackle the same line. Full catering and camping will be onsite, so I’m looking forward to hearing all the ‘woulda, coulda, shoulda’ stories around the campfire Saturday evening!”
The 2024 SA Trial Championships promise an incredible weekend of trial riding! With free entry for spectators across both days & fully homemade catering, there’s no better place to be. Join us from 9 am on Saturday and 8:30 am on Sunday at the Mount Pleasant Venue, 736 Angas Valley Road. Bring your family and immerse yourselves in the thrilling competition and vibrant atmosphere as we celebrate the end of an extraordinary season. Don’t miss the chance to witness some of the best riders in action and enjoy a weekend full of family fun!
