Entry List:
With the 2024 ProMX 1 Championship in his firm grasp, Siegah Ward enters Round 5 with a strong sense of confidence. Meanwhile, Seth Carpenter is laser-focused on closing the 30-point gap with Mitch Norris to clinch second place in the standings. The final rounds promise intense competition and strategic maneuvering as these riders vie for top positions.
As the reigning Women All Powers Champion, Amy Bartsch leads by 19 points over Emma Haylock. With Round 5 approaching, Bartsch will aim to maintain her lead and secure the 2024 title. However, Victoria’s Emma Milesevic is poised to make a significant push for a podium finish and could shake up the round standings.
The Expert All Powers division is set for an exhilarating Round 5, with only 43 points separating the top three contenders. Aaron Van Zetten will need to fend off Lucas Brereton to retain his lead, while Joel Hakkinen is positioned to make a decisive final push. The upcoming races are bound to be a thrilling battle for the championship title.
Eyes will be turning to the showdown brewing between Warren Carrol & Bradleigh Thompson as they settle once and for all who will be the Vets 35 – 44 Years Champion for 2024. With just 15 points between the 2, and a year of exceptionally close racing, you won’t want to miss a second of this showdown.
Joining the senior this weekend will also feature the future of SA Motocross as 142 junior talents take to the track. With Emily Lambert sidelined due to injury, Charlize Waldhuter has a chance to close the 52-point gap and take over the 150cc-250cc 13-U16Yrs Girls Championship. Meanwhile, Danielle Churchett could mount a late charge to contest the overall title, adding extra excitement to the final rounds.
Noah Rochow, who finished third in the Junior Lites 250cc 13-U16Yrs class last year, is now in a strong position to claim the 2024 title. Leading by 49 points over Kye Little, Rochow will need to stay focused and perform well at South Coast to secure the championship and make 2024 his standout year.
Riley Mullen is set to defend his 85cc/150cc Small Wheel 9-U12Yrs Championship title against a formidable field. With talented riders like Ollie Paech and Bodhi Austin in the mix, Mullen will need to give his all to hold off the competition and add another title to his impressive list of accomplishments.
Heading into the final round of the 2024 Championship, the 65cc 7-9 year class is tighter than ever. After a flawless performance in round 4, where he swept first place, Bailey Thomson aims to bridge the 5-point gap separating him from class leader Kobe Smart. However, one thing is certain—Kobe will give everything he’s got on the track to defend his top spot and chase that dream finish.
Adding to the excitement of the weekend, SAMX fans can expect exhilarating bar-to-bar action across a range of competitive classes. Intense battles await in the Pro MX 2, lively Clubman, and Vets 45+ categories, while the future stars will shine in the 150cc-250cc 13-U16 Girls, 85cc 11-U16Yrs Girls, 65cc 10-U12 classes, and the 50cc 7-U9 Championship contenders. As a special highlight, the final appearance of the 50cc non-competitive demo class for the 2024 Championships promises a memorable showcase. It’s the perfect opportunity to witness motocross’s rising stars and the next generation of athletes in action.
