It’s going to be a huge weekend ahead of action over 7-9 July at the Bend with the Webb Plastics South Australian Road Racing Championships Round 2, the Pirelli Motul Victorian Road Racing Championships Round 2 and the 2023 Horsell Australian F1 & F2 Australian Sidecar Championship Round 2, presented by CAFNIX.
After a spectacular start to the Championship at Mac Park over Easter, the 2023 Championship story continues to the challenging, fast Tailem Bend Motorsport Park Circuit and you bet we have an impressive lineup of riders with over 140 of Australia’s fastest, set to hit the track. 2 Full days, with over 208 bikes filling a world-class lineup of classes -There’s no hotter show in town to be at.

Across the SA & Vic Championships, there is a total of 31 Superbikes, 22 Supersport 600’s and 24 Supersport 300’s – with some of the big names entered including Jack Davis and Michael Kemp headlining Superbikes and the Simpson brothers Olly, Mitchell and Jordan, fighting it out in Supersport 600’s. Flying high after taking out the Pro 450CC SA Dirt Track Championships last weekend, Ty Lynch is back on the tarmac this weekend and surely in the mix for Supersport 600 – Will he end up adding the Round 2 SA Road Race Championship trophy to his collection??

The bLU cRU SA Junior Cup will also be run, with 12 riders taking to the track, the 10 that have signed on for 2023, plus for this round, 2 wildcard riders Elijah Andrew and Judd Plaisted join the crew. Can Archie Schmidt hold off Xayvion Amoy for another round win or will there be an upset in the Championship standings.
Current Mallala lap record holder Tara Morrison will be joining Georgia Stephens and Phoenix Agar in the stacked Supersport 300 class.
For the first time outside of the Oceania Junior Cup we have a field of over 20 juniors from SA, Victoria & NSW entered to race. There is no doubt the future of Road Racing in Australia is in very capable hands with these young guns.
The Australian Sidecar Championship will also feature over the weekend, with 21 sidecars entered to hit the track. Current Australian Sidecar Champion Phillip Underwood will again face off against Patrick Clancy in Formula One Sidecar. Previous Isle of Mann racer Royce Rowe has broken in his new bike at Mallala and will be one to watch going up against the stiff competition of Jamie Crass and Michael Alton in Formula 2.

The SA/Vic Road Racing Championship Round 2 incorporating Round 2 Australian F1 & F2 Sidecar Championship is set to make a roaring return to the iconic Bend Motorsport Park. Entry to the circuit is off the Dukes Highway approx. 25 minutes along the freeway from Murray Bridge.
